A recipient of the John Stobart Fellowship, Bernie McTigue graduated from Lyme Academy of Fine Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting. He has displayed his work in various art shows and one-man shows in Connecticut, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, where he has received several awards of distinction. Bernie's work has been included in the Annual Exhibition of Connecticut Artists at the Slater Museum in Norwich, The Connecticut Academy of Fine Artists, New Britain Museum of Art, and the New Haven Paint & Clay Club. In addition to Annual Exhibitions of CPAPS, his work is regularly shown at other art associations including Lyme Art Association, Mystic Art Association, Essex Art Association, and Guilford Art Association.
