Alex is a dedicated plein air painter who paints throughout the four seasons. He is a member of the West Hartford Art League, The Lyme Art Association, and the Rockport Art Association. He is an Elected Member of the Connecticut Society of Plein Air Painters.

He has exhibited regularly in New England including exhibits at the Connecticut Artists Exhibition, the West Hartford Art League, the Lyme Art Association, and the Somers Cultural Commission. He has also exhibited at the New Britain Museum of American Art. His paintings are also found in corporate collections. Alex has received many awards for his work including, most recently, best in show at the West Hartford Art League Members Annual Exhibition.

He is represented by the following galleries: Hartford Fine Art and Framing, East Hartford, CT, the Charlestown Gallery. Charlestown, Rhode Island, and J. Vallee Brunell Fine Art and Framing, Granby, CT, and Nautique, Harwichport, MA.
