Celebrate Connecticut Farms - September 12, 2010

2010 represents the 10th anniversary of the Celebration of Connecticut Farms event, sponsored by the CT Farmland Trust. Once again, we will continue our decade-long association with the Trust as they raise money to preserve the working farms of Connecticut with this eagerly anticipated annual event that celebrates fine food, wine, and art. As the season moves along, we will update this page concerning our involvement with the September 12th event; check back often.

This year's featured farm is Laurel Ridge Farm at 66 Wigwam Road, Litchfield, CT and we will be painting there on April 25 & 26 and May 2 & 3; go to our Paintout page for directions. The Farmland Trust will use a painting of the Farm for the invitation art for this event. The painting will be selected on June 5th. Plan to drop off your painting (s) before 12:00 Noon on June 5th at Hartford Fine Art, 80 Pitkin St., East Hartford. The selection will be made that day and you may pick up your work after 2:00 pm on the 5th; note that Hartford Fine Art closes at 3:00 pm that day.

Paint out at the farms featured in prior years. Given that this is the 10th anniversary of Celebrate Connecticut Farms, we are working out arrangements so that members can paint any of the farms featured in prior years. Please note that you MUST contact the farms ahead of time to ensure that you can safely paint there without interfering with farm operations.
