Well, my mother used to say to me, “man plans, and God laughs!” I think Mother Nature is playing with us plein air painters. It looks like tomorrow’s forecast is about the worst possible scenario for us. High winds, cold temperatures, and did I mention, SNOW!!!! And with that, sloppy driving conditions. So needless to say, our paint out Wickham Park at will be postponed to Sunday, April 10.
Shauna, our Paint Out Chair, has assured us that we will have full access to the entire park next Sunday, with no restrictions. And we have been kindly informed that there are additional lavatory facilities in the tea room.
“Again, it appears that winter will descend upon our planned CPAPS paint out with low temperatures and the possibility of flurries, so, (good grief), we need another option. With that in mind, we have arranged another “rain” date for the same venue – – one week later on April 10. With facilities, parking, and a friendly and welcoming staff, we should enjoy even more of the spring color on this later date.”
And then the weather got even worse. Good grief indeed!
Summary: Paint Out Recheduled, it was tomorrow, Sunday April 3 and is now
Sunday, April 10 9:30 AM. Wickham Park, Manchester.
We hope to see a lot of those of you who are hesitant to come out and paint for a myriad of excuses. When you just get there, prepared to respond to the beauty around you, you will forget your doubts and just experience that Nirvana of being in the moment.
See you soon,
