36 Huntington Road (Rt. 14), Scotland CT
We are honored to be featured in the celebration “Historic Impressions: Plein Air Painting at the Huntington Homestead. This remarkably well-preserved site includes an eighteenth century house on its original foundation surrounded by acres of farmland, bordered by Merrick Brook. It includes old-growth trees, stone walls, a beaver pond, scenic outbuildings, an abandoned road, and other interesting features.
The town of Scotland is one of the most scenic farmland areas of Connecticut, with a quaint main street lined with many classic historical homes.
This is a special event built around our painting of this site as a way to introduce folks to the plein air tradition. I know it will be a hot day, but I hope you will consider coming out to support this event.
See you there…
